US company acquires Canadian flexible packaging firm

Flexible-packaging producer ProAmpac (Cincinnati, Ohio / USA; www.proampac.com) has acquired Canadian paper-bag maker Rosenbloom Groupe (Montreal, Quebec; www.rosenbloomgroupe.com) and its two Canadian plastics product companies Hymopack (Toronto; www.hymopack.com), a supplier of shopping bags and can liners, and Dyne-A-Pak (Laval, Quebec; www.dyneapak.com), a manufacturer of polystyrene foam trays for food packaging.
The addition of the Rosenbloom Groupe expands ProAmpac’s global business to 35 sites that supply flexible packaging to consumer, healthcare, e-commerce, retail and industrial-goods markets in 90 countries. Rosenbloom Groupe’s plans to continue in Canada and maintain operations at its manufacturing facilities.
ProAmpac is owned by investment firm Pritzker Private Capital (Chicago, Illinois / USA; www.ppcpartners.com).
