Taiwanese TPE pilot plant begins operations

US supplier Trinseo (Berwyn, Pennsylvania; www.trinseo.com) said it started production at its new pilot plant for thermoplastic elastomers in Hsinchu / Taiwan on 2 December 2020 (see Plasteurope.com of 14.10.2019). The plant is expected to enable faster “innovation cycles” in cooperation with Asian customers in sectors such as automotive, consumer electronics, shoes and medical technology.
Trinseo’s main development centre for TPE in Mussolente / Italy was acquired in 2017 with the takeover of Applicazioni Plastiche Industriali (see Plasteurope.com of 13.07.2017).
