Hartwig Michels appointed as new head of petrochemical association

The European Petrochemical Association (EPCA, Brussels / Belgium; www.epca.eu) now has a new head, Hartwig Michels, who had been the head of the petrochemicals division at BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) since 2017 (see Plasteurope.com of 19.12.2016). So far, Michels had been the vice-president of EPCA, which has more than 700 member companies.
Michels succeeds Arkema (France; www.arkema.com) COO Marc Schuller, who had led the association since 2017. Schuller will now return to the position of a regular board member.
