Energy and petrochemicals group Repsol (Madrid / Spain; www.repsol.com) said that, since September 2020, it has offered its complete range of phthalate-free polypropylene at all its production centres. The company said it carried out the transition jointly with clients to ensure it does not affect their conversion processes.
Repsol began its commitment to offer a range of phthalate-free PP to all its processes in 2009 through collaborations with clients in the personal care sector in non-woven hygiene applications. Then, in 2015, the company announced its commitment to eliminate phthalates from all its products by looking into alternative catalysts for manufacturing PP (see Plasteurope.com of 12.02.2015).
