Di Tommaso announced sales director of Italian arm

German petrochemicals giant BASF (Ludwigshafen; www.basf.com) has named Giovanna Di Tommaso sales director of BASF Italia. Di Tommaso, who assumed the new post on 1 September 2020, was formerly head of the BTC distribution division of BASF, which is responsible for the distribution of chemical specialities in Italy and Greece.
Di Tommaso succeeds Lorenzo Bottinelli, who earlier this year was appointed CEO and vice-president of BASF’s Italian operations (see Plasteurope.com of 06.04.2020). The German group operates 13 sites in Italy with more than 1,500 employees. BASF Italia generated sales of EUR 1.8 bn in 2019.
