Price hike for carbon black
US materials supplier Cabot (Boston, Massachusetts; www.cabotcorp.com) has announced a worldwide price increase of up to 8% for all carbon black products sold by its specialty carbons division effective 1 November 2020 and beyond. The materials are used as colorants and additives in plastics.

This price hike is necessary to address increasing costs driven by global, industry-wide strengthening of emissions compliance standards, the company said.
