PLASTICS RECYCLING FRANCE
Monitoring platform MORE posts first results on French use of recycled polymers
Online monitoring platform “MOnitoring Recyclates for Europe” (MORE), set up last year by European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsconverters.eu) – see Plasteurope.com of 26.04.2019 – has released its first results on the use of recycled polymers in France.

For 2018, participating companies in France in the packaging, construction, automotive and consumer goods sectors registered use of 389,000 t of recycled polymers, according to the report.
MORE said the results were available due to the “great work” of the French national plastics and composites converters association Fédération de la Plasturgie et des Composites (FEP, Paris; www.laplasturgie.fr), as well as a commitment to transparent reporting by French plastics converters.
“With this tool, our converting industry is united in reporting volumes of all polymers and sectors and clearly on its way to register the volumes of our overall commitment of 1m t by the year 2025,” said Fédération de la Plasturgie Director General Jean Martin.
The MORE platform is available across 14 European countries to monitor and register the industry’s efforts to reach the EU target of 10m t/y of recycled polymers by 2025 (see Plasteurope.com of 17.12.2018).
