Sign-up open for “NPE 2021” plastics show in Orlando / Dates set for Russia's “interplastica 2021” / “Plastindia” pushed to 2022
The Plastics Industry Association (Plastics, Washington, D.C. / USA; www.plasticsindustry.org) has announced the opening of attendee registration for the triennial US plastics show “NPE” (www.npe.org), the industry’s largest trade fair in the Americas. NPE 2021 returns to the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando, Florida, on 17-21 May 2021. Earlier this year, association president and CEO Tony Radoszewski welcomed the schedule change for “Chinaplas 2021” (www.chinaplasonline.com), which no longer overlaps with the US event. (see Plasteurope.com of 28.01.2020). “NPE will be the place not only to highlight key contributions in the world’s response to the coronavirus but also to see what’s coming from businesses across an industry that will transform tomorrow,” Radoszewski said.

Organiser Messe Dusseldorf (www.messe-duesseldorf.de) has announced that its Russian plastics and rubber fair “interplastica” will be held on 26-29 January 2021 at the AO Expocentre Krasnaja Presnja in Moscow. “To guarantee the highest degree of safety for exhibitors, visitors, partners and employees, Messe Düsseldorf Moscow is currently developing a comprehensive hygiene and infection protection concept in close coordination with the operator of the exhibition centre and in compliance with the hygiene regulations in force in that country.” Registration and more information about the 2021 show are available here. Interplastica 2020 in February featured more than 900 exhibitors from 40 countries and nearly 25,000 visitors, Messe Dusseldorf said.

The 2021 “Plastindia” fair has been postponed to 17-21 February 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a letter to visitors and exhibitors from organiser Plastindia Foundation (Mumbai, Maharashtra / India; www.plastindia.org). The 2022 show will be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, the foundation said, noting that updates about the exhibition will be available on its website.

The impact of the pandemic has forced the rescheduling of a number of plastics industry events in Europe as well (see Plasteurope.com of 16.09.2020).
