German distributor K.D. Feddersen (Hamburg; www.kdfeddersen.com) has acquired a 75% equity stake in Norwegian machinery supplier Protec Scandinavia (Trondheim; www.protecscandinavia.no) as well as the entire shareholding in Protec Scandinavia Sweden (Östhammar / Sweden) from Pemel Holding (Trondheim / Norway) with effect from 14 July 2020. Financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.
The deal, said Feddersen, further expands its regional presence in Northern Europe, also serving the Norwegian market as an independent company with its own sales structure. Protec Scandinavia’s portfolio will be expanded to include engineering plastics, and the Swedish arm will be integrated into K.D. Feddersen Norden, the German group added.
