After the required two-year cooling-off period following his retirement from BASF’s (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) board of executive directors in May 2018 (see Plasteurope.com of 22.12.2017), former BASF CEO Kurt Bock, has been elected as chairman of the group’s supervisory board. He succeeds Jürgen Hambrecht, who left the supervisory board at the end of the shareholders’ meeting 2020. Bock’s term runs until 2024.
This year, the company held a virtual annual shareholders’ meeting on 18 June in Ludwigshafen. The meeting was initially set to take place on 30 April 2020, but it was postponed in mid-March as a result of the spread of the coronavirus in Germany.
