Indorama Ventures (IVL, Bangkok / Thailand; www.indoramaventures.com) has taken over a Brazilian PET bottle recycler. Through its Brazilian subsidiary Indorama Ventures Polimeros, the Thai company has acquired 100% of AG Resinas (Juiz de Fora / Brazil). Its plant in Juiz de Fora has capacities of 9,000 t/y of rPET flakes and pellets. Formerly, AG Resinas belonged to the AG Plast group (Juiz de Fora; www.agplast.com), a manufacturer of bottles made from polyethylene and PET.

Indorama Ventures Polimeros is the former Brazilian PET business of the M&G group, which Indorama took over in 2018 (see Plasteurope.com of 30.05.2018). It is located in Ipojuca / Brazil and operates with a PET capacity of around 550,000 t/y.
