Automotive supplier Varroc Lighting Systems (Plymouth, Michigan / USA; www.varroclighting.com), acquired in 2012 by the Varroc Group (Aurangabad, Maharashtra / India; www.varrocengg.com), has officially opened its new 25,000 m² production site in the special economic zone Euro-Park Mielec in Niemce / Poland. Around 170 employees manufacture lighting systems for the automotive industry here. According to media reports, the investment in the new facility amounted to about PLN 230m (EUR 52m).
The company also has facilities in China, the Czech Republic, India, Mexico, Morocco, Turkey and Vietnam. Its product range includes matrix headlamps, adaptive high beams, LED lamps, organic LED as well as electronic control modules. Varroc Lighting Systems supplies companies such as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, VW and Groupe PSA.
