The premiere of the restructured French plastics trade show “France Innovation Plasturgie” (FIP; www.f-i-p.com) in Lyon (see Plasteurope.com of 21.05.2019) has been moved back a year. Organisor Idice (Oyonnax / France) rescheduled the exhibition originally planned to take place in mid-June 2020 due to an “unprecedented context of health crisis” during the Covid-19 pandemic. The event will now be held from 15-18 June 2021.
The decision was taken in coordination with exhibitors as well as French plastics processors association Fédération de la Plasturgie et des Composites (FEP, Paris; www.laplasturgie.fr) and French industry association of compounders, distributors and manufacturers of injection moulding machinery and peripheral equipment ACDI (Oyonnax; www.acdi-plasturgie.fr). It is not clear whether the usual three-year cycle will continue.
Due to the coronavirus, Idice has also postponed the “3D Print Congress & Exhibition” (www.3dprint-exhibition.com), which was to take place at the same time as FIP in Lyon, to 13-15 October 2020.
