Swedish plastics additives producer Nexam Chemical (Lomma; www.nexamchemical.com) has appointed Henrik Bernquist as business development manager with effect from 1 April 2020. Initially, he will focus on the commercial development of Nexam’s high-performance range of products.
Bernquist joins from Flint Group (Luxembourg; www.flintgrp.com), which is a major supplier to the global printing and packaging industry, although much of his career has been spent with speciality chemicals company Perstorp (Perstorp / Sweden; www.perstorp.com). “It feels extremely positive to be able to start the year with an offensive recruitment,” said Nexam’s CEO Johan Arvidsson. “As we have grown very strongly in several areas, there has been a need to strengthen the organisation. High performance is an area where we see great potential. Henry’s background makes him very suitable to take on this assignment.”
In October 2019, Nexam announced it had reorganised its structure and enlarged its management team to support ongoing international expansion – see Plasteurope.com of 09.10.2019.
