Storopack (Metzingen / Germany; www.storopack.com) is launching a new recycled raw material for the production of protective packaging in the first quarter of 2020. The raw material is made of 100% recycled Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) or PS from post-consumer goods. The packaging can be made with up to 100% of this raw material. The ratio to conventional EPS can be tailored to reflect customer specifications.
Recently, Synthos (Oświęcim / Poland; www.synthosgroup.com) and BEWiSynbra (Solna / Sweden; www.bewisynbra.com), have separately announced that they have started producing EPS obtained from recycled materials. BEWiSynbra had partnered with Hirsch Servo (Glanegg / Austria; www.hirsch-gruppe.com) - see Plasteurope.com of 06.12.2019 and 22.10.2019.
