New board members elected / François de Bie remains chairman
Industry association European Bioplastics (EUBP, Berlin / Germany; www.european-bioplastics.org) has confirmed that François de Bie (Total Corbion PLA) will maintain his position as chairman of the board, with Mariagiovanna Vetere (NatureWorks) and Lars Börger (Neste) serving as vice chairpersons. “It is a pivotal time for our industry as the European Union is serious in developing from a linear to a circular economy. This provides us with a unique opportunity,” said de Bie. He added that bioplastics “are a major driver for the continued change in the plastics industry towards an innovative, sustainable, and resource-efficient economy.”
