EPP particle foam with recycled content / Same mechanical properties as virgin material

Plastic foam producer JSP (Tokyo / Japan; www.jsp.com) has expanded its “Arpro” (www.arpro.com) EPP particle foam portfolio by a type containing 25% recyclate. “Arpro 5134 RE” has medium bulk density (34 g/l) and is suitable for lightweight moulded parts with bulk densities between 40-70 g/l.
The Japanese company says the recyclate for Arpro 5134 RE comes from end-of-life moulded parts as opposed to production waste. It adds that the new material has similar physical properties and processing performance to virgin EPP particle foam.
