Semi-finished products specialist expands plant in Czech Republic
German semi-finished goods producer Ben Kunststoffe (Gomaringen; www.ben-plastic.com) has expanded its Czech site at Melnik from 10,000 m² to 25,000 m². Managing director Richard Bühler told Plasteurope.com at “K 2019” (www.k-online.com), that the new production and storage hall came onstream in summer 2019.

The company produces polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC sheets. It has a wide range of semi-finished products made with polyamide 6, polycarbonate, POM, PMMA, PTFE, ABS, PET, PEEK as well as laminated paper and fabric. Ben Kunststoffe was founded in 1989 as a trading company, and its site in the Czech Republic started up in 1994. The German company has 120 employees, 20 of which work at its headquarters in Gomaringen, south of Stuttgart. Ben Kunststoffe has a production capacity of 15,000 t/y, and for 2019, Bühler anticipates a rise in turnover to around EUR 25m.
