The weather is pretty mild for October, even if a bit rainy. The mood in Düsseldorf / Germany is one of tense anticipation. At 10:00 the doors to the world’s leading plastics trade fair “K 2019” will open again after three years. More than 3,300 exhibitors will showcase their products and services, with around 200,000 international trade visitors expected to attend (see Plasteurope.com of 15.10.2019). A lot has happened since 2016. A “Circular Plastics Economy” leans heavily on the industry, and what the responses will be are to become clearer starting 16 October. Knowing our industry, this will translate into action. Visitors should be able to come out satisfied with exhibitors’ various activities and initiatives.
On 17 October, the KI Group will also focus on the topic of circular economy – with the fifth “KI Group Summit” (www.ki-group.de/k2019-summit) themed “Plastics markets in a circular economy”.
The stage is set. The booths are shining, with machinery and other exhibits ready to roll. And the experts are looking forward to some inspiring and stimulating discussions. Cheers to an exciting eight days in Düsseldorf!
