Acquisition of India's Monachem Additives / Velox merged with IMCD Deutschland

Chemicals distribution group IMCD (Rotterdam / The Netherlands; www.imcdgroup.com) has completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of speciality chemicals distributor Monachem Additives (Vadodara, Gujarat / India; www.additives.monachem.com), which includes Addpol Chemspecialities (Vadodara; www.addpol.com).
In fiscal 2018/2019 (ending 31 March 2019), Monachem Additives generated revenue of INR 800m (around EUR 10.4m). The Indian company has 22 employees and distributes additives for plastics including masterbatches, wire and cable compounds, engineering compounds as well as PVC stabilisers and modifiers.

Velox is now IMCD Deutschland
In separate news, the Dutch distributor has taken over Velox (Hamburg / Germany; www.velox.com), with effect from 1 September 2019 – see Plasteurope.com of 31.08.2018 – as well as merged the Hamburg business with its local subsidiary, IMCD Deutschland (Cologne / Germany). Lars Wallstein has been appointed as the new managing director of the German branch.
IMCD’s German locations in Cologne, Freiburg and Hamburg will continue operating at the same addresses as before.
