Protective packaging specialist Storopack (Metzingen / Germany; www.storopack.com) has come out with “AIRplus Void Recycle”, a new polyethylene film that contains at least 50% recycled material. AIRplus Void Recycle is used for padding and protecting goods weighing up to 8 kg.
The company told Plasteurope.com that the bulk of the recycled plastic resin is purchased and processed by external recyclers. About 5-7% is from in-house production scrap, which is processed into recycled resin to produce the new film.
