Takeover of French mould maker Comep

Sidel (Octeville-sur-Mer / France; www.sidel.com), a manufacturer of blow moulding machines for PET packaging, has announced the acquisition of Cognac Moules Emballages Plastiques (Comep, Salles-d'Angles / France; www.sa-comep.com). The purchase price has not been disclosed.
Comep manufactures blow moulds and tools, and with the buy, Sidel intends to offer complete packaging solutions to customers. The French mould maker was founded in 1998 and has around 60 employees. It produces more than 4,000 blow moulds annually for customers in over 80 countries. According to Comep, its database contains more than 6,000 forms, including for water, household care products, spirits, milk and oils. In October 2018, Sidel acquired PET Engineering (San Vendemiano; www.petengineering.com), an Italian technology company – see Plasteurope.com of 22.10.2018.
