Effective immediately, Domo Chemicals (Leuna / Germany; www.domochemicals.com) has renamed Cfp Flexible Packaging (Cesano Maderno / Italy), its PA 6 film production business, Domo Film Solutions. Cfp Flexible Packaging started operation in the 1970s, when it was part of Italy's now-defunct SNIA group and had activities in PA 6 polymer production too. Between 2002 and 2004, two new BOPA lines – see Plasteurope.com of 27.12.2002 – and two new cast lines were installed. The manufacturer became a part of Domo Chemicals in 2014 – see Plasteurope.com of 17.04.2014 – and has operated a plant in Leuna since 2018 – see Plasteurope.com of 04.12.2017.

In other company news, the renamed business has launched “Nyleen” PA 6 films, which it says have a reduced carbon footprint compared to standard PA 6 films. Domo Film Solutions is planning to launch cast films with recycled content in the short term and is also working on bio-based solutions.
