Over the next 18 months, injection moulder and packaging manufacturer Augros Cosmetic Packaging (Cerisé / France; www.augros.fr) intends to invest some EUR 3m on installing an additional vacuum metallisation line at its plant in Theil-sur-Huisne / France.
Didier Bourgine, who has managed the family business since 1991, aims to generate sales of EUR 25m over the next three years through this expansion and other measures. He expects 2019 to be another good year, with a 4.5% increase in orders and a steady interest in new products at the same time.
For 2018, Bourgine has reported a 20% increase in sales to EUR 17.6m. Around 40% of this revenue was achieved through exports. EBIT skyrocketed to EUR 1.6m (EUR 196,000 in 2017) and profit quadrupled to EUR 1.2m. Augros acknowledged this growth with the recent appointment of Rodolphe Benouville as commercial director.
At Augros’ two plants, 170 employees produce high-quality closures and attachments for perfume and cosmetics packaging and spirits. Around 140m of the closures were made in 2018 by its 32 injection moulding machines with a clamping force of between 800 kN and 4,000 kN. The French company’s customers include well-known brands such as LVMH, L'Oréal, Sisley and Remy Martin.
