Idé-Pro (Skive / Denmark; www.ide-pro.dk) has implemented two measures in 2019, setting the course for its further growth. The specialist for injection-moulded prototypes and small series production announced in April that investment firm Blue Equity (Kolding / Denmark; www.blue.dk) had acquired half the company's shares. According to Morten Nors, CEO of Idé-Pro and holder of the other half of the shares, this has created the basis for further expansion. "The partnership with Blue Equity offers an opportunity to expand distribution activities, improve on organisation and step up growth," says Nors.
At the start of 2019, Idé-Pro also announced the purchase of a new facility in Glyngøre / Denmark. At the new location, around 25 km from its head office in Skive, the company now has 10,600 m² of hall space at its disposal on a 65,000 m² site. Part of production is to be relocated there by June.
Idé-Pro was founded in 1994 by Morten Nors and his brother Tommy Nors, initially as an engineering and trading company. Three years later, the company purchased its first injection moulding machines. This was later supplemented by a design department in India and processing capacities for EPS and EPP as well as casting in aluminium, magnesium and zinc. The workforce totals some 160 employees.
