The next “ChemPlast Expo” (www.chemplastexpo.com) has been rescheduled to take place from 23-25 March 2021 in Madrid / Spain. The trade fair for the chemical and plastics industries was initially scheduled to run in 2020 from 5-7 May in Madrid but had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Nebext (Madrid; www.nebext.com) is organising the event with the support of more than 60 institutions and associations.
Sustainability is a major theme at the event. It will also showcase the latest developments in machinery, robotics and raw materials, with the aim of boosting sales in the first quarter of 2021, according to the organiser. ChemPlast event manager Marina Uceda says the trade fair is to act as a meeting point to establish new business models and the development of new materials and technologies, for example. There will also be a European congress of plastic engineering, where trends in the plastics sector will be presented.
Around 7,000 attendees and 200 exhibitors are expected at the Spanish trade show, which is to be held alongside “Pick&Pack”. The concurrent event is specialised in the packaging and logistics sectors and will include a national packaging 4.0 summit and the “European Intralogistics Summit”.
