EuPC and IK organise conference “A Circular Future with Plastics” in Berlin / Award ceremony for best polymer producers
European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsconverters.eu) and Germany's plastic packaging industry association Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen (IK, Bad Homburg; www.kunststoffverpackungen.de) are organising the 2019 edition of “A Circular Future with Plastics”. The two associations expect around 200 participants from across Europe to attend the conference taking place from 13-14 June 2019 in Berlin / Germany.

IK and EuPC decided to carry over the conference’s theme from last year, acknowledging its continued relevance due to the importance of waste prevention and the most recent EU plastics regulations – see Plasteurope.com of 28.03.2019. “The sustainability and circularity of plastics and plastic products continue to be the most important topics for our industry. Companies need to work hard to keep up with the fast development of legislation and consumer behaviour,” said EuPC managing director Alexandre Dangis.
The draft programme of the two-day conferece is now available – on the first day of the event, the “EuPC Market Division” will take place in parallel, with market sessions on packaging, building and construction as well as automotive and transport. This will be followed by a session on marine litter hosted by Waste Free Oceans (WFO, Brussels; www.wastefreeoceans.org) and a gala dinner with the annual award ceremony for “Best Polymer Producers Awards for Europe”. The main conference is set for the second day of the event, when national and EU-level political representatives as well as industry CEOs and leaders will discuss the trends of the sector.
