POLYMERS FOR EUROPE ALLIANCE
Fourth edition of "Best Polymer Producers Awards for Europe" / Voting open until mid-May / New polymer types added
Until 18 May 2019, European plastics processors can use an online voting tool available in several languages to rate their suppliers’ performance during the past 12 months. Participation is strictly confidential and free of charge.
In addition to the usual categories – LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, PP, PVC, PS and EPS, PET, PC, ABS – the Polymers for Europe Alliance (www.polymercomplyeurope.eu/pce-services/polymers-europe-alliance) has added further categories, including EVA, PA 6.6, POM, PEEK and technical polyesters such as PBT and PBS. The five criteria for which suppliers can be rated are delivery reliability, polymer quality, regulatory compliance, communication and innovation. There will also be an overarching prize awarded across all polymer types for best customer communication. The award ceremony will take place on 13 June 2019 in Berlin / Germany at the annual meeting of European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsconverters.eu).
In 2018, the award was handed out to six plastics producers at a ceremony in Milan / Italy. A special prize for highest polymer quality was given to PVC manufacturer Vynova (Tessenderlo / Belgium; www.vynova-group.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 29.05.2018.
The Polymers for Europe Alliance was initiated by EuPC in 2015. Chairman Ron Marsh says the aim is to provide information on the polymer supply situation in Europe and re-establish communication between polymer suppliers and processors.
