Recovery plan progressing / Stephen Nixon appointed interim COO

Injection moulding company Carclo (Ossett / UK; www.carclo.co.uk) has appointed Stephen Nixon as interim COO. The company notes that this is not a Carclo board position. Nixon is responsible for the Technical Plastics and LED Technologies divisions and reports to executive chairman Mark Rollins – see Plasteurope.com of 16.01.2019. The group's finance director is Sarah Matthews-DeMers.
Nixon has held management roles at Ford, Freudenberg and Renold. Since 2007 he has focused on interim CEO and COO positions for underperforming engineering companies, including automotive and lighting businesses.
Carclo had announced that profits would be well below expectations for fiscal 2018/19 (ending 31 March). Former CEO Chris Malley has also taken over as the group's divisional CEO of LED Technologies in order to turn the business around.
