Acquisition of Indian compounder Next Polymers completed

Celanese (Dallas, Texas / USA; www.celanese.com) announced at the beginning of January 2019 that it has completed the acquisition of engineering thermoplastics compounder Next Polymers (Mumbai, Maharashtra / India; http://nextpolymers.co.in) – see Plasteurope.com of 17.10.2018. The purchase price was not disclosed.
"This acquisition complements our rapidly growing India business," said Celanese COO Scott Sutton. Next Polymers has a compounding capacity of 20,000 t/y at its production site in Silvassa, which is a town within the small union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
