Acquisition of minority stake in Spain's Walter Pack / Partnership for car interior lighting components

Automotive supplier Grupo Antolin (Burgos / Spain; www.grupoantolin.com) has signed a strategic partnership for vehicle interior components with Walter Pack (Igorre / Spain; www.walterpack.com). The goal is to integrate decorative parts from Walter Pack in components for interior lighting, says Grupo Antolin. In addition, part of the collaboration includes R&D. Grupo Antolin has also acquired a 40% stake in the Basque company.
In addition to automotive components, Walter Pack manufactures parts for industries such as electronics and home appliances. The company has a total of six plants in Spain (Igorre, Barcelona and Alicante), India (Ranjangaon, Maharashtra and Manesar, Haryana) and Mexico (Querétaro). With more than 350 employees, it generates annual sales of around EUR 37m. Grupo Antolin has 151 production sites in 25 countries and 28,000 employees. Its annual sales in 2017 amounted to EUR 5.04 bn.
