With effect from 1 January 2019, Raffaele Abbruzzetti has taken over from predecessor Björn Norén as manager of Arburg’s (Loßburg / Germany; www.arburg.com) Italian subsidiary in Peschiera Borromeo. Norén, who established the Arburg subsidiary 25 years ago, retired at the end of 2018. He will continue to be involved with the company due to the long-term partnership between Arburg and Sverital (Cologno Monzese / Italy; www.sverital.it/), a Norén family-owned automation specialist.
Abbruzzetti joined Arburg in November 2018. He has a degree in electrical engineering as well as years of experience in the sale and servicing of industrial systems in the packaging sector.
Arburg manufactures plastic processing machinery with representation in 25 countries. Italy has been the German company’s biggest European market for several years. Its subsidiary in Peschiera Borromeo has a staff of 37 in addition to 14 representatives for the nine sales regions. In cooperation with Sverital, Arburg plans to focus on turnkey solutions and digitalisation in order to demonstrate the potential of Industry 4.0 to customers in Italy.
