Swedish injection moulder Nolato (Torekov; www.nolato.com) is planning to supply its “Compashield” electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding products to the Hungarian telecommunications industry before the end of this year.
In June 2018, the company opened a new plant in Györ / Hungary, from which it has been supplying the domestic automotive industry. Nolato chose the location because of the considerable automotive operations in the area. Kristian Lydebrant, project manager for the Hungarian plant, said the largest OEMs and their subcontractors are represented within a 250 km radius.
Nolato made its first delivery of "Trishield" electromagnetic compatible (EMC) gaskets in mid-August, much sooner than originally proposed due to an unexpected change in its customer’s plans.
The company said it sees opportunities for continued growth in its EMC and thermal products in the automotive and telecommunications sectors through new applications for the “internet of things” (IoT) as well as in medical technology. It added that acquisitions may also be a possibility.
