R&P Polyplastic's (Moscow / Russia; www.polyplastic-compounds.ru) search for a European distributor has been successful – see Plasteurope.com of 05.02.2018. The Russian compounder has signed a distribution agreement for Europe with distributor Polytrade Global (Frankfurt / Germany; www.polytrade.de). The Russian company aims to deliver up to 1,000 t of PA and PP compounds to Europe in 2019.

In addition to direct sales, Polytrade will represent R&P Polyplastic at industry events. The companies will have a joint stand at the upcoming "Fakuma" trade fair (www.fakuma-messe.de) in Friedrichshafen / Germany, which is running from 16-20 October 2018.

Polytrade Global distributes plastics as well as precursors and additives for compounders. The company was founded in 1994 as a spin-off of the Fibers & Fiber Raw Materials division of Germany's Metallgesellschaft and became a subsidiary of German company Zimmer. Polytrade has been part of an investment firm since 1 July 2017, with Zimmer's additives still part of its sales portfolio. The Frankfurt-based distributor generated sales of around EUR 18.6m in 2017 with 14 employees.
