SANITIZED
Antimicrobial additive for flexible polymer applications
Swiss material protection specialist Sanitized (Burgdorf; www.sanitized.com) has introduced its “Sanitized PL 14-32" solution for what it says is long-lasting and highly effective antimicrobial protection of flexible polymer applications. Besides thermal stability and compatibility with most formulations, Sanitized PL 14-32 inhibits microbes such as bacteria, mould, mildew, yeast, pink stain and algae – all of which can destroy the material and cause stains, cross contamination, odour development and biofilm formation. It offers high UV resistance and no yellowing after UV exposure, as well as good water protection.

The solution conforms with the EU's biocidal products regulation (BPR) and is approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency. It was first showcased by the Swiss company's subsidiary Sanitized (China) at the "Cinte Techtextil China" trade fair, which took place from 4-6 September 2018 in Shanghai.
