A. Schulman acquisition completed
LyondellBasell's (LBI, Houston, Texas / USA; www.lyondellbasell.com) acquisition of A. Schulman (Akron, Ohio / USA; www.aschulman.com) has been completed. Along with the completed transaction announced on 21 August 2018, the newly formed Advanced Polymer Solutions business also started up. It is led by James Guilfoyle – see Plasteurope.com of 31.07.2018 – and combines LBI's previous PP compounds (PPC) business with A. Schulman's activities. In addition to "Catalloy" and polybutene-1 resins, the segment includes engineered composites, powders and masterbatches.
