Alvaro Mendoza named president and CEO
US masterbatch producer Ampacet (Tarrytown, New York; www.ampacet.com) is under new management. Former vice president operations, Alvaro Mendoza, will take over as president and CEO. He succeeds Yves Carette, who has retired after 32 years with the company.

Mendoza joined Ampacet in 1996 as regional sales manager for Latin America and was named VP Americas in April 2016. He assumed the role of VP operations in February 2017.

The company operates 25 manufacturing facilities in 18 countries. More than 2,000 people work for Ampacet worldwide. Earlier this year, the company started up a new additive production line in Messancy / Belgium – see Plasteurope.com of 07.03.2018. Ampacet recently announced a new logo, tagline ("Plastics Reimagined") and website as well as a focus on colour, special effects and advanced functional additives. The company says it will move into more regions and markets such as appliances, automotive, healthcare, 3D printing and aerospace.
