Dutch group takes over Haal Verpakkingen
On 14 June 2018, Novio Packaging (Wijchen / The Netherlands; www.novio.eu) took over cosmetics packaging specialist Haal Verpakkingen (Zeewolde / The Netherlands; www.haal.net) for an undisclosed amount. The activities will be integrated into the Wijchen site on 1 September 2018, the company said.
Novio, a holding company, consists of packaging distributors Oosterbeek Packaging, Alpha Packaging International, Maer Flexibles, Maer Hong Kong and FehnPolycap. At the end of April, Novio also merged with Scandinavian Packaging (Borup / Denmark; www.scan-pack.com). For the rest of this year, the five companies will still operate under their respective names. From 1 January 2019 onwards, all will operate under Novio Packaging.
The Novio group has been active as a distributor of packaging for a variety of applications since 1978. The company currently employs 60 people. Haal Verpakkingen supplies plastic and glass packaging primarily for the cosmetics industry.
