Andrew Liveris will resign from his post as executive chairman of merged group DowDuPont (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow-dupont.com) effective 1 April 2018. His successor – as non-employee executive chairman – is Jeff Fettig, current co-lead director of the group.
Liveris will remain with the company until his retirement on 1 July 2018, as director of DowDuPont. Management of the materials science division, which with the planned splitting of the group as a standalone company will operate under the name Dow (see Plasteurope.com of 14.03.2018), is to see Jim Fitterling serve as CEO. Fitterling is currently COO of the division. Howard Ungerleider is to take on the role of president and CFO of the materials science company. Fitterling and Ungerleider will continue in their current roles at DowDuPont until the division’s separation is completed, which is expected by Q1 2019.
