Semi-finished plastics specialist expands capacity for sheets and films in Austria
Senoplast Klepsch (Piesendorf / Austria; www.senoplast.com) is investing around EUR 6.1m in the construction of a new production hall at its headquarters in Piesendorf. “The expansion does not only mean that our company is growing, it also brings about growth for the entire region,” said managing director Günter Klepsch at the groundbreaking ceremony on 25 September 2017. “We are building for the future and creating valuable local jobs.”

The building with a floor area of 3,600 m² will be finished in April 2018, at which point Senoplast will install new production lines with cleanroom technology. The new building’s focus will be on the production of co-extruded plastic sheets and films for thermoforming.

Senoplast sheets and films are used in automotive engineering, travel luggage and sanitary applications as well as in refrigerators and furniture. Production capacity of the two locations at Piesendorf and Querétaro / Mexico is approximately 50,000 t/y. With its 615 employees, of which 475 are based in Austria, Senoplast generated sales of around EUR 190m in the past year.
