In the Seville Flexpack plant in Oak Creek, Südpack CEO Johannes Remmele now intends to print and refine films delivered from Europe. "We have been looking for a suitable location for our US business for a long time now," said Remmele. It is not only the state-of-the-art machinery that is important for Südpack but the site's location in the core region of the meat and cheese industry. Both are key customers for the film products with which the company will be expanding its US business.
In 2016, Südpack had sales of EUR 367m. The main focus of its activities are lid films, rigid and flexible films and also bags that are produced in its four plants in Germany, France, Poland and Switzerland. In addition to these, the company owns the medical technology firm Südpack Medica, which produces sterile packaging for the medical sector in Coulmer / France, under cleanroom conditions. The company has some 1,300 employees worldwide.
