Portuguese compounder continues international expansion / New factories in Serbia and Morocco
Compounding company Cabopol (Porto de Mós / Portugal; www.cabopol.com) is increasing its international presence. After opening a plant in Tangier / Morocco, the company announced it opened a new factory in Šimanovci / Serbia in July 2017. The facility is fully automated for thermoplastic compounds production. In addition to its head office in Portugal, it operates another branch office in Bucharest / Romania.

Cabopol produces compounds (PVC, PE, PP, SBS and SEBS) for customers in the automotive, healthcare, cables, shoes, packaging and consumer goods industries. The company's capacities are estimated at 110,000 t/y, and it is part of the Mekkin group (Porto de Mós; www.mekkin.pt), which also includes metal construction and engineering. The group employs 430 people and has an annual turnover of EUR 146m.
