Price increase for polyvinyl alcohol
With effect as of 15 March, Sekisui Specialty Chemicals (Dallas, Texas / USA; www.sekisui-sc.com) is intending to raise the price of polyvinyl alcohols worldwide. An increase of USD 100/t (EUR 95/t) is planned for all grades in the “Selvol Polyvinyl Alcohol”, “Selvol Ultiloc” and “Selvol Premiol” product ranges.
Sekisui Specialty Chemicals was set up on the basis of the PVOH business that the Sekisui group (Tokyo / Japan; www.sekisuichemical.com) acquired from Celanese (Dallas, Texas / USA; www.celanese.com) in 2009 (see Plasteurope.com of 29.04.2009).
