Acquisition of Italian adhesive tape manufacturer h-old
French building materials major Saint-Gobain (Paris; www.saint-gobain.com) has acquired Italian tape producer h-old (Biandrate; www.h-old.com) from private equity fund Arcadia Small Cap (Milan / Italy; www.arcadiasgr.it). Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1982, h-old designs, manufactures and distributes – mostly in Europe – speciality adhesive tapes for high-performance applications in industrial and automotive markets. The tapes are made of PTFE, PE, PET, PVC and PEN film, among others. Its sales are forecast to be around EUR 25m in 2016.
