German plastics distributor and compounder Albis Plastic (Hamburg; www.albis.com) has announced that its chief sales officer, Carsten Wörner, will leave the company “by mutual agreement” on 30 September 2016. The executive, who has been in the position since 1 April 2012, is credited with overseeing the structural adjustment of sales as part of the distributor’s internationalisation drive.
Wörner’s successor, from 1 October, will be Ian Mills, managing director of Albis UK and regional sales director for the northeast region – a position he will initially continue to hold. Prior to joining Albis in 2007, Mills “gained relevant experience” in various management positions within the plastics industry, the company said.
