In a deal the financial details of which were not disclosed, Mauser Group (Brühl / Germany; www.mausergroup.com) on 11 July acquired its long-term partner Daniels Healthcare Group (Kidlington / UK; www.daniels.co.uk). The German company said the purchase underlines its commitment to the medical waste container business in Europe, while at the same time broadening its geographic footprint.

Daniels Healthcare produces medical waste containers for hospitals, surgeries, needle exchange schemes, councils and the clinical waste industry. The company specialises in infectious waste like needles, syringes and other sharps, with a portfolio that complements Mauser’s “Mauser Wiva” medical waste container system. Before the acquisition, Daniels Healthcare had been one of the main UK distributors for Mauser Group.
