Speciality film converter and distributor Transilwrap (Franklin Park, Illinois / USA; www.transilwrap.com) has completed its acquisition of the global speciality films business of Dow Chemical (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com). The deal was initially announced in April – see Plasteurope.com of 04.04.2016.

Transilwrap specialises in products used in the healthcare, packaging, point-of purchase, display advertising, security identification, protective and industrial markets. The acquired business has over 50 years of experience in providing film solutions used in medical, packaging and industrial markets and specialises in the production of blown oriented PS films and co-extruded multilayer barrier and polyolefin films with manufacturing and R&D facilities in Hebron, Ohio / USA and Drusenheim / France.
