Confirmation of plan to build 80,000 t/y glass fibre production facility in South Carolina / USD 300m investment
Chinese glass fibre producer Jushi (Tongxiang City, Zhejiang; www.jushi.com) has confirmed its intention to build its first manufacturing facility in the US. A USD 300m, 80,000 t/y plant is to be built in Columbia, South Carolina, with construction expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2016 and completion within two years. The company originally announced its intention to build a facility in North America in 2015 – see Plasteurope.com of 24.03.2015.
