Stephen Newlin named CEO
Stephen Newlin has been appointed president and CEO of US chemical distributor Univar (Downers Grove, Illinois; www.univar.com) with effect from 31 May 2016. The manager, former CEO of US compounder PolyOne (Cleveland, Ohio; www.polyone.com) and currently that company’s executive chairman, has been a member of the Univar board of directors since 2014.
In the top executive position at Univar, Newlin succeeds Erik Fyrwald, who resigned to become CEO of Syngenta following the Swiss agrochemicals producer’s recent acquisition by ChemChina.
