DAVIS-STANDARD
Name change for UK subsidiary DS Brookes / Facility becomes European blown film service centre / Move reflects global presence
DS Brookes (Brierley Hill / UK), the UK subsidiary of US-based extrusion machinery producer Davis-Standard (Pawcatuck, Connecticut; www.davis-standard.com), has been renamed as Davis-Standard Limited. The modification – in name only – better reflects its global market position and activities, Davis-Standard said.
Davis-Standard Limited will continue supplying screws and barrels associated with the DS Brookes brand, and will remain a key supplier of Davis-Standard’s extrusion systems for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including aftermarket support and spare parts activities across all product platforms and brands.
Managing director of Davis-Standard Limited, Mark Woodgate, said the name change better aligns with Davis-Standard’s corporate uniformity in serving customers worldwide. He added that its facility in the West Midlands / UK is now Davis-Standard’s European service centre for blown film, servicing the Gloucester Engineering product range, which it acquired in September last year – see Plasteurope.com of 09.09.2015.
